夏威夷手做口罩，滿滿熱帶風情

夏威夷在很早之前就已經買不到醫療口罩與 N95 口罩。由於移居夏威夷的日本人很多，在口罩缺乏的狀態之下，許多人也開始手做布口罩。雖然布口罩的效果不及醫療口罩，但是至少戴了可以避免新冠病毒的飛沫傳染到自己，有一層能保護自己的布還是比完全沒有配戴的人還安全一些。

那麼，有哪些可愛的口罩呢？

對於不想太招搖的人，正面純色，裡面則是跳舞的草裙舞姑娘，讓心情都好起來了呢？

Such a fun weekend staying home and making masks with @tinahawaii from @fishflags! Here's Tina showing off a portion of what we finished over the weekend. ⠀ Lots of size testing went down and I'm still unsure how I'll go about it. We washed and dried finished masks from day 1 and found that it shrank so we prewashed and dried the fabric before sewing on day 2 and found how hard it is to cut and sew the wrinkled fabric. Not sure if it's worth the time to iron everything before cutting, so I may just increase the size of the pattern to allow for shrinkage after laundering. And you MUST wash (and dry, if possible) before wearing your masks no matter where you got it from. ⠀ The priority is to get some donation packages of masks out to KVMH West Kaua'i, Kaua'i Urgent Care and Hilo Medical Center. After joining the Hawai'i Mask Makers group, I saw the demand for masks needed by our health care facilities right here in Hawai'i and I can't ignore that. ⠀ I do know that I have hundreds of unanswered DMs right now from you requesting masks and I will definitely try my best to have some available for purchase in between building up my donation piles. Your mask purchases will help to offset the cost of shipping and supplies for the donations headed to our health care facilities. I apologize if your DM goes unanswered for a while. At this point, I think my time is best spent pumping out masks but I will respond slowly. ⠀ Mahalo and stay safe, positive and healthy my friends!

Hi everyone! After making my way through some batches of donations, finally ready to list a limited qty for sale. For every mask purchased one will be donated! This will continue to help fund the donation process so we may generate more masks for those in need. Pleated masks will be shipping by 4/7-4/8, fitted masks will not ship until aprox 4/13 (waiting on more materials arriving around the 9th) Please be sure to read all listing details prior to purchasing. We have 2 styles available, pleated and fitted both made from 100% organic cotton or cotton. Both have a pocket for filter and the pleated option will also have an opening for a nose wire. Please do understand these masks are not meant to replace a n95 mask and we make no claims that it will protect you from any contagion. It may help prevent you from touching your face and can also be worn over an n95, again please be sure to read our full listing details and CDC guidelines for cloth masks.
